Iron or Copper Stamped with Soft Enamel process:

1.Stamping Molding
Molding the metal surface to form the design.

2. Outline Cutting
The lapel pins are die struck from a copper surface. A die is created to imprint your design into the metal. The outline of the pin and any cut-outs are then cut with another mold.

3. Attachment
Attachment is welded on to the back of each piece

4.Polishing
The pins are individually hand polished until smooth and shiny.

5.Plating
Now plating can be processed with various plating.

6.Coloring
The lapel pins are individually filled by hand with enamel colors and baked to 80-160 degrees for proper color distribution within each lapel pin design.

7.Cleaning
Excess color is then wiped off from the metal surface.

8. Baking
The pins are placed in a low heat kiln in order to seal in the colors and achieve superb color separation.

9.Epoxy Coating
A clear protective epoxy coating (epoxy dome) can then be applied to the surface of your pins to protect the image from fading or peeling off or getting scratched.

10.Inspection
Then each pin is inspected to ensure only the highest quality is individually packaged and send for final inspection.

Iron or Copper Stamped with Soft Enamel pins are rugged, versatile, and affordable. Soft Enamel is one of our most popular choices for custom pins, it offers a great looking product for a price slightly less than the cloisonné process.
